SCAN is focused on education, prevention, family advocacy, resource navigation, and community partnerships.
We are currently building relationships, developing resources, and helping families navigate complex systems while strengthening child safety throughout Southside Virginia.
Tomorrow
As SCAN grows, we envision expanding opportunities for children and families through educational programming, parent workshops, sensory-friendly events, community partnerships, volunteer engagement, and prevention-focused initiatives that make support more accessible and visible throughout our region.
Looking Ahead
One long-term vision for SCAN is the creation of a Children's Community Village and Family Resource Campus—a welcoming place where children can learn, play, explore, and grow while families connect with resources, education, support, and one another.
